Complete Roofing South East
Roofers covering every Crawley neighbourhood in RH10 and RH11. Free roof surveys, fixed written prices and a twenty year workmanship guarantee.
Some of our crews work out of Crawley, so for a roof in RH10 or RH11 you get a local team that already knows the town’s housing. Many streets were built to the same handful of designs, so we usually know what to expect before the ladder goes up. Every job starts with a free survey on the roof, or by drone, with photographs of what we find. You then get one fixed price in writing. Our experienced roofers do the work, and it’s covered by a twenty year workmanship guarantee.
Crawley was designated a New Town in 1947 and grew neighbourhood by neighbourhood. West Green, Northgate and Three Bridges came first, followed by Langley Green, Pound Hill, Ifield, Tilgate, Gossops Green, Southgate, Furnace Green, Bewbush and Broadfield. Each was built in a short burst, so whole streets share the same roof: often concrete interlocking tiles on fairly shallow pitches, mortar bedded ridges and verges, and long terraces under one continuous roof line. Flat roofed garage blocks, porches and link extensions are everywhere.
The roofs from those first decades are now well past their original design life. The usual problems are tired battens and felt, nail fixings rusting through, ridge mortar breaking up, and flat roofs on garages and extensions that have been patched one too many times. Because the houses in a terrace share a roof, reroofing often makes sense with neighbours. Booking two homes together under one scaffold can save both households money, and we’re happy to quote that way.
Not all of Crawley is postwar. There are older cottages around Ifield village and the historic High Street, and Victorian and Edwardian railway terraces in Three Bridges, many with natural slate. Maidenbower and much of Pound Hill date from the 1980s and 90s, and Forge Wood is newer still, with dry fixed ridges and verges and modern membranes.
Crawley sits lower and more sheltered than the High Weald towns to the east. Even so, Atlantic storms push south westerly gusts and driving rain across the town every winter. The mature trees around Tilgate, Worth and the older neighbourhoods also keep gutters, valleys and flat roofs busy with leaves and moss.
New roofs and reroofs We strip and reroof in concrete, clay or natural slate, with new battens, breathable membrane and leadwork. Shared roof terraces and semis are a speciality: we can quote neighbours together and run one scaffold.
Roof repairs Slipped tiles, leaks, ridge rebedding and storm damage. See our dedicated Crawley roof repairs page, or the full roof repairs service.
Flat and felt roofing EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and felt for the garages, porches, dormers and extensions found right across Crawley. We build them as warm deck so they last rather than needing another patch next winter.
Tiling and slating Concrete interlocking tiles on postwar homes, plain clay tiles, and natural slate on the Three Bridges terraces, all fixed to BS 5534. We match to your street so a reroof doesn’t stand out on the terrace.
Chimneys and lead flashing Repointing, capping and rebuilding stacks, plus new lead flashings, soakers and valleys.
Fascias, soffits and guttering Full roofline replacement with eaves ventilation as standard. Many original Crawley timber fascias are due for replacement, and it’s best done while the scaffold is up for a reroof.
Roof windows and skylights Roof lights and skylights supplied, fitted and flashed properly, including for loft conversions.
Drone roof surveys Drone photographs of roofs that are hard to reach safely. You can have a written report with them too.
If a storm has lifted tiles or water is coming through the ceiling, call 07939 862 818. The line is open day and night, including Sundays. With crews working out of Crawley, we aim to get someone to you the same working day to make the roof safe and stop the water. We then come back to survey properly and book the permanent repair. For storm damage we provide a photographic report and itemised quotation for your insurer, and can deal with the loss adjuster directly. More on our emergency callout service.

Yes. On Crawley’s terraces and semis it often makes sense. We survey both, give each household its own fixed written quote, and run one scaffold so the work is done in one go and matches across the roof line.
It depends on what’s under the tiles: battens, felt and fixings. We photograph what we find and, if it’s borderline, price both a repair and a reroof so you can compare.
